Clear Jelly Problem Does Not Cause Eye Migraine Headaches
During an eye migraine attack (also known as ocular migraine) you may experience weird flashing or shimmering
lights and distorted vision like looking through cracked glass. This is often due to a spasming blood vessel within
your brain. Also referred to as an ocular eye migraine, you may not actually get a headache plus they disappear
within half an hour.
Other medical conditions that can cause you to see strings of black floaters in front of
your eyes include bleeding in the retina from diabetes, or infections in the vitreous from toxoplasmosis or herpes.
Herpes in the back of your eye inflames the retina and so does toxoplasmosis of the eye, both can lead to eye
flickers of light and floaters.
Be aware that having to wear thick glasses for myopia or nearsightedness is a risk factor for getting an
increase in black floaters drifting in your vision.
