Diabetic Eye Bleeding Or Infections Can Also Cause Eye Floaters

If you have retinal problems such as bleeding from diabetes you may notice black or red floaters in your eye as one of the early symptoms. Likewise, after cataract floaters develop commonly. More rare causes of "bugs in the eyes" are infections such as toxo, herpes, and other diseases that inflame the eye and retina. In addition, people as young as teenagers have been known to get black floaters in their eyes just because they are nearsighted or myopic.
