Can Eye Floaters Be From An Allergic Reaction?
Eye floaters do not result from having an allergic reaction to anything, they are simply a natural occurrence
due to the aging or separation of the vitreous gel from the back wall of the eye.
Should You Ignore Eye Floaters?
Trying to ignore your eye floaters is ok, but it's not ok to ignore them if you also
suddenly start getting flashes of light to the sides of your vision: this could mean a retinal tear or detachment
is occurring.
Stringy, worm like lines moving in your eyesight may be benign, but if you begin to notice flashes or streaks of
light, it could be a more serious matter such as a retinal hole, or detachment. Abruptly getting dark spots, thin
strings, or grey clumps in your eyesight along with flashing lights is a warning sign of a tear developing in the
retina or detachment 14% of the time.
