Why Do Floaters Happen When You Feel Stressed Out?
Debris that drifts like black threads top to bottom in your vision is the result of the eye's gel like interior
called vitreous tugging away from the retina in the posterior area of the eye, this happens whether you are
anxious or not.
Black threads that move around inside your eyes like strands of hair are most of the times attributed to the
aging vitreous material that shrinks and liquifies as you get older. Really small pieces of tissue of the vitreous
gel can break away in the back cavity of your eye; this may appear like flying bugs, moving shadows, or gray
streaks in your field of vision.
The dark-colored streaks in your vision are due to little shadows being cast onto the retina in the back of your
eye, this can appear to you as floaters moving with your eyes.
The greasy black colored smudge infuriating you is even more frustrating and can cause anxiety mainly
because everytime you are hoping to make it stop and stare at it, the eye floaters just keep moving and shifting
around aimlessly.
